B&W Photo Challenge Day 2

This day 2 photo shows the difference B&W can make to a photograph. Without any editing other than changing it to B&W; here are the before and after photos.

 

 

I just love how it changed the contrast of the mountains in the background, it almost looks like a watercolor painting in black and white. This picture was taken in Lake Mead last year while visiting our good friends Steve and Joan (FOSJ).

As such, I feel it only appropriate that I nominate them on day two of this photo challenge. They take awesome scenery pictures each week which I know would look great!

The only rules of the challenge are:

1. On five consecutive days, create a post using a recent or past photograph in black and white.

2. Invite another blogging friend each day to join in the challenge.
